Turning Tables

Wengler partnered with Lights to design a groundbreaking immersive dining experience that transcended traditional fine dining. Blending gastronomy, light, sound, and storytelling, each course transported guests to a fictional planet within a sensory, narrative-driven journey. Developed in close collaboration with Chef Louis Linster, the dramaturgy of the show was synchronized with the rhythm of the kitchen, creating a dialogue between culinary and scenographic composition. The result was a living performance, a choreography of perception where food, space, and emotion converged into a single artistic gesture. Set in the year 3000, the dinner imagined a world where Earth had become uninhabitable, inviting guests to explore new worlds inspired by themes of collapse, regeneration, and adaptation. The installation was modular and energy-efficient, using local and repurposed equipment to minimize waste. The event sold out, generating strong emotional reactions and wide online engagement. Praised for its creativity and innovation, it reinforced Wengler’s positioning as a pioneer in experiential fine dining and as a curator of visionary, sustainable gastronomic experiences.
